Choose the right connection
Use IP authentication when your PBX sends traffic from a known public IP address. Use a SIP account with username and password when you need account-based access. The right option depends on your network, phone system and routing requirements. Confirm the configuration with support before sending production traffic.
Compare destinations and call rates
Start with the countries, mobile networks and fixed-line destinations you call most often. The rates page shows available destinations, prefixes and tariff plans, priced in euros per minute. Search for a destination and check the selected route before connecting your traffic. For larger volumes, send your destination mix and expected monthly traffic to discuss individual tariffs.
Plan incoming and outgoing calls separately
A SIP trunk provides access to calling routes. An incoming phone number is a separate DID service. If you need customers to call a local or international number, discuss the required country, number type and receiving SIP destination with support. Availability and documentation requirements vary by country.
Ask about TLS and SRTP
TLS can protect SIP signaling, while SRTP encrypts voice media when supported by both ends. Contact support to enable the available secure setup on your account or trunk. Check your PBX transport, certificate handling, media settings and network rules as part of the configuration.
Test before increasing traffic
Register an account, identify your PBX or dialer and choose the required authentication method. Test the destinations you need, inbound routing if applicable, audio in both directions and the displayed call records. Confirm the required channel capacity and expected traffic with support before scaling up.
Frequently asked questions
Is a DID number included with every SIP trunk?
DID numbers are a separate service. Tell support which countries and number types you need so that availability and requirements can be checked.
Can I use IP authentication instead of registration?
MagnusBilling.net supports SIP trunks with IP authentication or username and password. The appropriate method depends on your account and network configuration.
Where can I see current call prices?
Use the SIP tariffs page to search destinations, prefixes and plans. Rates are shown in euros per minute; confirm the tariff selected for your account.
